This landscape design project revitalized a character Vancouver home's exterior by adding a curved landscape edge lined with decorative metal edging and river rock. Warm-toned LED lighting along the edge creates a welcoming atmosphere at night. The front walkway was resurfaced with a modern material, and the landscaping was enhanced with new plants to complete the modern and inviting outdoor space.

The curved landscape edge, defined by decorative metal edging and lined with river rock, serves several purposes. Firstly, it creates a more dynamic and visually interesting boundary between the lawn and the surrounding hardscape. Secondly, the curve adds a sense of movement and flow to the design, making the space feel less rigid and more inviting. The river rock not only provides texture and contrast but also helps to stabilize the edge and prevent erosion. The resurfaced front walkway is a key element in the overall modernization of the home's exterior. By replacing the old walkway with a more contemporary material, the designers were able to create a cohesive and visually appealing entrance. The new walkway also improves the functionality and durability of the space.
