Garden Renovation — Point Grey, Vancouver | 2023
This waterfront landscape transformation creates a harmonious balance between natural coastal views and curated garden spaces. The design maximizes the property's stunning location while ensuring low maintenance and year-round visual appeal through careful plant selection and architectural landscaping.

Client Needs
Our client spends extended periods abroad and wanted a garden that would remain colourful, tidy and well-maintained with minimal ongoing care. Preserving the open ocean and mountain views was also a significant part of the design.
Garden Conditions & Challenges
The garden was well-maintained but needed a deeper renovation. Chafer beetle grubs had damaged the existing lawn, and the planting no longer provided enough year-round interest. The waterfront views also needed to remain open.

Our Solution
We removed the affected lawn and soil, cleared the larvae, prepared a new soil base, and installed chafer beetle-resistant sod. We refreshed the planting with low-maintenance, year-round colour and carefully selected heights to preserve the ocean and mountain views.
