Client Needs
The client wanted a custom world map installation for the living room, not only as a decorative feature but also as a personal record of the places they had visited around the world. The piece needed to feel elegant and contemporary while remaining meaningful, interactive and visually integrated with the interior.
Garden Conditions & Challenges
The installation was designed for a concave curved wall, so the moss map had to follow the same curvature rather than sit on a flat surface. Achieving this required precise measurements, custom fabrication and careful detailing to maintain clean continental shapes and consistent spacing across the curve.
Our Solution
We created custom continent forms using preserved moss and adapted each section to the curvature of the wall. Integrated backlighting added depth and definition while keeping the installation clean, subtle and maintenance-free.
